This won't happen to us a second time!
Last week, we received a call from a customer ☎️: the hydrogen supply had suddenly dropped out during the night‼️. We went on-site and checked the compressor and air hoses, but couldn't find anything unusual at that moment. Later that evening, it happened again.
That's when we dove into the data from My.Watermeln. 💻 📊 🛜
What we found: the compressor was kicking in much more often than normal. This was likely due to a small air pressure leak, which forced the compressor to constantly adjust. As a result, it overheated and eventually shut down. Result: the safety mechanism on the hydrogen container shut everything off (just as it's supposed to). 🤚 👷♂️
After replacing the compressor and air hoses, the pressure remained perfectly stable and everything is running normally again.
What is our takeaway from this? Data and automation make the difference.
On the outside, you don't always spot these kinds of problems immediately, but in the data, you do. And it's exactly that insight that helps us act faster and with more focus.
