Building a Hydrogen Pipeline with the Power of Hydrogen
Clean power, worry-free
A significant step towards a fossil-free energy supply in the Netherlands. In Vilsteren, intensive work is underway on the future of our energy infrastructure. At this location, Hynetwork—a subsidiary of Gasunie—is working on the conversion of a natural gas pipeline for hydrogen transport. This construction site has a clear requirement: 24/7 reliable power supply for, among other things, pumps that are continuously needed to keep the construction pits dry.
💡 The entire construction site is being supplied with emission-free power using:
- ✅ 2x Watermeln Hydrogen Generators 🍉 ⚡
- ✅ 2x Battery Packs from Rent a Battery
- ✅ In combination with a grid connection
- 💧 +5,000 kg of H₂ converted into energy 💚
Thanks to this combination, the power supply is quiet, reliable, and emission-free. It's a great example of supply chain collaboration making sustainable construction projects possible.
